The night cross-country ski race under the moonlight on the Seiser Alm, known far beyond the region's borders, has whisked a red nose away into a little universe of happiness...

The enthusiasm for the effectiveness of clown therapy led Pauli Demetz from Gröden, along with four friends, to establish the non-profit association Medicus Comicus (since 2016 known as Comedicus) in 1998. Since then, the association has funded weekly visits by clowns in seven hospitals in South Tyrol: Bolzano, Merano, Brixen, Vipiteno, Silandro, San Candido, and Brunico. Additionally, more and more nursing homes, surgical visits, and online visits are being organized.

The goal of Comedicus is to alleviate the suffering of both young and old patients in hospitals as well as in nursing and care homes in South Tyrol through the humorous performances of the clowns—following the motto "Laughter is healthy." It is now widely recognized that laughter is an excellent therapy. Laughter relaxes, reduces fear, strengthens the immune system, activates self-healing powers, gives hope, and improves the quality of life—when we laugh, we all feel better!

2 Euro for each participant to the Moonlight Classic Seiser Alm to support the Comedicus which are paid by the Hotel Chalet Dolomites, Seiser Alm.
